Sprachenstreit im spanischen Parlament
Im Madrider Parlament ist ein Sprachenstreit ausgebrochen: Die Abgeordneten des Oberhauses (Senat) hatten in einer Plenarsitzung erstmals nicht nur auf Spanisch, sondern auch auf Katalanisch, Baskisch oder Galizisch debattieren dürfen. Dies löste bei der konservativen Volkspartei (PP) heftige Proteste aus. Für die Parlamentarier, die die Regionalsprachen nicht verstehen, hatte eigens ein Dolmetschersystem eingeführt werden müssen.
